Why Replace Your Driveway?

  • Curb Appeal: Cracked, stained, or crumbling driveways make a poor first impression. A new concrete driveway gives your home an instant facelift.
  • Safety: Uneven surfaces and gaps are trip hazards. Replacing your old driveway makes walking and driving safer for your family and visitors.
  • Low Maintenance: Unlike gravel or aging asphalt, concrete requires minimal upkeep and looks great for years.
  • Durability: Professionally poured concrete resists the elements, heavy vehicles, and wear better than most other driveway materials.

The Secret to Building a Long-Lasting Concrete Driveway

Preparation is essential to ensuring your driveway is durable, long-lasting, and looks great for many years. You can count on us to create a solid foundation for your new driveway.

  1. Site Evaluation and Planning. Assess your driveway’s slope, drainage, and soil conditions, determine the required thickness and reinforcement, and then mark the layout.
  2. Demolition and Removal. Break up and haul away your old driveway and any soft or unstable base material.
  3. Excavation and Graving. Excavate to the proper depth and then grade the area to create the proper slope for water runoff away from your home or garage.
  4. Prepare the Sub-Base. Install and compact gravel or crushed rock. Compaction is essential for stability and to prevent settling or cracking.
  5. Formwork and Reinforcement. Set up sturdy wood or metal forms to define the shape and edges, and then add steel rebar or wire mesh for reinforcement, especially in areas with heavy vehicle traffic.
  6. Concrete Pouring and Finishing. Pour high-quality concrete, level and screed the surface, apply finishing techniques, and then add expansion joints to control cracking as the concrete cures and contracts.
  7. Keep the concrete moist for 5–7 days to allow it to cure properly and gain strength. If needed, use curing blankets, plastic sheeting, or commercial curing compounds.
  8. Final Inspection and Clean-Up. Remove forms, clean the site, and inspect the surface for any imperfections.
